  1. I bought into the 505 Court and have been there for about 3 months. It’s fine enough – no frills, more affordable than the rest of the hyped up product out there. The animosity stirred up in the conversion seems to have stemmed from the impatient and greedy developer. The people who remain are very pleasant. 505 took a dumping from the blogs but I think a lot was fueled by former tenants.

  2. Court St. Lofts are a huge smelly pile o’ crap. Had a deposit there a year ago when they were first offered (11 weeks on market … riiiight) and asked for a refund after I read the plan.

Look on Curbed and this site for all the issues (crappy workmanship, issues with renters that refuse to leave from the conversion, noise, etc.)

  3. Re: 505 Court:
I think the maintenance is average for a doorman building but the website incorrectly listed the taxes. I think they are in the $300 range and not $32 as listed. It used to be a rental so there are no 421-a tax abatements. Sales are slow.

  4. The one I didn’t understand was today’s NYTimes sold—158 Montague St.
$1.295M condo in newly constructed doorman bldg.
As far as I know there is no new bldg. at that site not even an old doorman bldg.
At 182 Montague is newer bldg, doorman but believe it is rental bldg.
Any Brooklyn Hts people know what this is?
