The last attempt at a deli in the space at 117 Court Street failed spectacularly and a loophole in the lease enable the folks behind F. Martinella to wriggle out of their lease. Pretty soon, someone (perhaps the building owner. we hear) is going to give it another shot with what appears to be a fancy coffee bar, possible an Illy-branded one judging from the sign in the window. Then again, there were signs up for the “Court Diner Deli” just a few months ago. GMAP

still looks exactly like the Martinella interior.
I think the Illy signs in the window were just paid for by Illy,b/c they have a contract with them, assuming the deli is going to be carrying Illy Caffe.
I don’t think it is going to be an Illy caffe- I don’t think that would be the first location choice if they were going to open one in BK.
