A reader left a comment on an old thread this weekend tipping us off to this sign that’s posted at the Hot Bird location at the Corner of Clinton and Atlantic Avenues in Clinton Hill. If it’s to be believed, the much-anticipated opening is tomorrow. Based on the view we got of the al fresco dining area however (on the jump) it’s unclear if that’s realistic. We hope so!

  1. The Dominican diner on Flatbush and Carlton does a pretty good rotisserie chicken. And their cafe con leche is the best in the nabe. $1.75, strong and milky. But you have to ask for “cappucino” — crazy, I know.

  2. Fond memories of “Hot Bird” take-out many years ago! What is everyone’s favorite rotisserie chicken now? We like Union Market’s (although it’s sometimes overcooked); the one that costs half as much at Fairway is good, too. The ones at Key Food are scary, given what I’ve seen of their meat practices. And we love Pollitos II on Fifth Ave., but we wind up buying guac and other stuff that runs the bill up to $25+. Suggestions? (in case Hot Bird Nouvelle is a myth)…

  3. what is the name of the nightclub across the street here at 860 Atlantic? “Chanel’s”?…I remember there’s been shootings at that space. I wonder if Hot Bird will have a “no doo-rag” policy? I was just at Sweet Revenge on Franklin this weekend and I saw the had a “no doo-rag” and “no sunglasses at night” policy now. Does anyone know what happened there for them to institute the policy? Whenever I go to Sweet Revenge it’s pretty chill (though the music can be too loud.)
