General Greene Going Al Fresco
‘Tis the season…Der Schwarze Kolner isn’t the only Fort Greene restaurant with an outdoor itch. The General Greene recently received approval from Community Board two for a 12-table sidewalk set-up and is already up and running. GMAP

They’re getting rid of, or at least modifying the small plates thing for dinner. Our waiter said so a few weeks ago.
they run a small store in back, where they sell bread, cold cuts, cheese, olives etc.
that’s the best thing about the place!
They’ve always had outdoor seating (during the warmer months obviously)
Have eaten here and the food is not worth the price. It’s mediocre tiny plates that cost too much and leave you hungry.
i haven’t eaten dinner here, but props to them for starting breakfast at 8am, even on the weekdays. i’m an early riser, and it drives me crazy that most places don’t do breakfasts during the week and/or don’t start brunch till 11am on the weekends (10am at the earliest). granted i realize the demand for early meals is less than the noon hours, but there are those crazy few like me who are up early and are hungry.
and i’ve never been disappointed with the food. never completely blown away either, but i’m not always looking to be blown away.
Didn’t they always have sidewalk tables? Got a hair in my egg sandwich last time. Otherwise, was mediocre. Ice cream is awesome, though.
food here is gross. so many better places around to go to.
ftgreenepark, nice timing lol
I like Oskar fine but I vastly prefer General Greene for dinner.
