Are potential renters the ones complaining or just the politicians? I’d be perfectly happy using the “poor door’ if it meant below market rates. And if I was a buyer, I’d indeed want seperate entrances and amenities. Many examples of buildings where there are seperate entrances (courthouses, stadiums, residential, etc). Talk about an engineered ‘issue’.
Perfectly stated!!!! Sadly this is what our media/politicians/professional racebaiters seem to thrive off these days. They should be SHAMED until it stops.
No problem. Have no problem with the ‘poor’ or ‘rich’ for that matter 😉
oh shoot eradicator, I think I misread your initial post.
thought you were poopooing the low income renters. I just reread and got your point.
so sorry
” The people who received these high end luxury waterfront apartments should be happy they got these taxpayer subsidized apartments”
cause the developers got NO incentives whatsoever.
Whoa, eradicator.
Sometimes in this great city of ours you’ll brush up against a poor person. Just don’t look them in the eye and walk right by.
I grew up in Jamaica Queens so Im pretty sure Ive “bumped into poor people” BTW
Developers + owners got tax abatement – so what. Everybody got something.
Nice red herring. The people who got these apartments are hardly ‘poor’ – go check out the income requirements to get in them.
