I wholeheartedly agree with the comment about Norman Oder (the reporter who so aptly named him “the Mad Overkiller” is Errol Louis). Oder’s obsession with Ratner and AY borders on disturbing. I can see Oder still writing 2000 word tomes on this topic 10 years after the arena is built. Sad.
It’s curious about the crime stats. Yesterday at the Bed Stuy Expo, an attendee said crime has increased so much her neighborhood is like it was back in the 80s. Everyone seemed to agree.
Could crime be flourishing in certain locales? The event took place in the 81st precinct, the one where the cops have been accused of fudging the crime stat reports.
