  1. rob,

i’m not sure if you can swim in the lake. they have boat tours (some at sunset) and you can also rent those boats that are maneuvered with foot pedals.

the trails with the used condoms are similar to central park’s rambles. there is an area there called the “vale of cashmere” dating back to when it was built.

one of my favorite things about the park are the free summer concerts – they ask for a small donation at the door. saw the “brazilian girls” and it was a great set, night and crowd.

  2. what about the dog beach? i did walk by there once and some dogs were swimming in it. i thought it might be cool to take my dog but then i read some posts a while back that there’s rat poison around the lake or something? okay dumb question (sorry i have many) are people allowed to swim in the big lake?

  3. HA biff! it’s weird i have yet to explore prospect park. ive really only been there twice. once to find the lake and it took forever. and then i got there and it was kinda dirty with a couple of diseased looking ducks or geese 🙁 and the other time i went with a friend cuz he’s never been there and we walked along the trails and there were lots of used condoms on the path. hopefully my next trip there will be better. i probably didnt really see the good parts of it or something

  4. DIBS, it’s possible this is a shot of 11217 and Rob getting lost on their way to the Loki Lounge, a la the Blair Witch Project, although there’s not a sweater vest to be seen in the pic. However, I did spot some fruitflies buzzing around.
