“Thats the problem with NY, too many third worlders. You see it on the roads and in the parks.”
WOW, now I call THAT boneheaded comment provocation for a blog fight. This post is going downhill.
You need to learn how to punctuate by the way. ‘Thats’….?
1:58 is obviously a racist %^&head. YOU should be banned from the park.
That’s the problem with New York; too many yuppies in Park Slope who don’t realize that most “third worlders” live in apartment buildings and they don’t have backyards in which they can BBQ. I have been in the park on the weekends and although I have noticed an increase in the number of people BBQing, I have never seen a BBQ haze. I navigate around these family get-togethers and go about my business. I am fortunate enough to have a nice backyard with a grill, playset for the kids and a nice patio.
The real problem is that there are not enough public green spaces.

Great news about the Food Coop in Bay Ridge.
Since my apartment building was nearly burned down about a month ago by a moron BBQing on his terrace, I get why people are concerned about it. No need to stalk family reunions though.

BINGO!!!
Prospect Park West yups v. the islanders
When I was in the park on saturday, i saw a crazy lady with camera taking photos of what appeared to be a family reunion.
about goddam time re: the bbq pigs in the park
Or is it that more yuppies are alerting the authorities about it? It seems to me that there has always been a pretty intense Carribean barbecue scene in Prospect Park…
“You can always count on the Times with another “Doom and Gloom” article about the economy.”
As well as every other news outlet. Here’s one from Marketwatch yesterday: “U.S. stocks plunge; worst June for Dow since 1930.”
^^^Because that represents only 1% of the NYC area, the rest of us 99% would rather get the bigger, more important picture.
