Re: DDDB meeting,
These people continue with their delusions. So DDDB has received “a lot” of e-mail about the Brooklyn Museum’s honoring of Ratner? How much is “a lot”? 8 or 9? And one (oh, count her) person has chosen to request her membership money back. Now that’s progress!
As always, the turnout was pathetic. 110 people (of course, mostly white) out of a surrounding community of about 50,000? Yea, the “community” cares deeply about this issue.
Goldstein’s “confidence” in outcomes favorable to DDDB, especially in legal cases, has been proven wrong repeatedly, so his belief that Patterson will be any more sympathetic to this cause is absurd.
Carpenter’s prediction that the Supreme Court will take this case is beyond laughable. It will be denied and the State courts will be even more hostile to it.
I must admit, I’ll be a bit sad to see this episode of NYC history end. Watching the failure, missteps, and incompetency of the anti-AY has been a rich source of amusement these past few years. I guess I’ll have to add more movies to my netflix queue.
