Exotic Home and Garden looks awesome! If you like the Exotic Home and Garden boutique and are looking for something similar near downtown Brooklyn, there’s a great place called Home and Beyond on Atlantic that’s much smaller but has similar stuff.
ever been to the upper west or east sides, battery park, financial district, midtown east?
pretty desolate, if you ask me.
those places are in manhattan…right?
I agree- that is a stretch. I know so many young traders/bankers who are moving to Dumbo. It seems very strange. Most of them are not people that I would normally even imagine stepping foot into Brooklyn. They work, dine, shop… do everything in Manhattan.
How is Dumbo “Manhattanized” when it has so few amenities and is so desolate at night?
Exotic Homes and Gardens has gorgeous stuff- it is on a weird street (pretty much no amenities there save for the post office?), but their stuff is just gorgeous. Very “My Little India” vibe.
It’s great- I’ve always wondered if they have a rule about all matching shades/curtains.
I love this building! It’s been interesting to see it take shape. I hope that it helps to accelerate the gentrification eastward.
A little strange that the picture above is also curbed.com’s Friday PM Linkage as well.
Really that hard up for original pics?

Oh, but I do. This is merely adequate.
