A victim of the rise of the Brooklyn mega-brokers or just rising rents in Fort Greene (or neither), longtime local broker Eva Daniels has vacated her prime storefront at the corner of Fulton and South Elliott Place. It’s been empty for a week or so and we heard one (totally unsubstantiated) rumor that the incoming tenant is none other than Douglas Elliman. Can anyone confirm? Her website is still up and running so there’s no reason to think her business is carrying on.

  1. agree with the other’s negative experiences. e.d.’s broker simply ignored every one of our basic requests for typical apartments we wanted to view. one after another after another. it was a total, total waste.

  2. Though my experience with Eva Daniels’s firm is limited, it was negative. My wife and I viewed an apartment – her employee showed up 20 minutes later and, after letting us and another couple into the apartment, announced that it had been sold. We ultimately purchased a co-op listed by a “mega broker” whose representative was the consummate professional.

  3. We purchased our house from Eva Daniels. The broker who handled the sale was an unprofessional, unscrupulous lier. If they were a reflection of that organization, the demise is warranted.
