Here’s a fun one. Artist Bob McNulty recognized the building featured in our masthead as one that he had drawn almost three decades ago when he was starting his career as an illustrator. As many people will recognize, it’s the Mechanics and Traders Bank of Brooklyn at 144 Franklin Street. The 1895 building was a Building of the Day back in October of last year. We love it, but Montrose aired a few complaints when she wrote it up. She does admit that the third floor is “glorious,” an assessment we wholeheartedly agree with. GMAP
