Until the organizers of the West Indian Day parade and our NYC politicians step up to the plate this madness will continue. This is the ONLY parade in NYC were people are shot, stabbed, murdered in cold blood. Why is this tolerated? Why is this ok year after year after year? For those of you who continue to say “the problem is not the parade” PLEASE tell me what other parade has a mortality rate? The problem IS the parade, the people who attend, the lawlessness that is acceptable. No other parade, street festival, events is this happening.

It is shameful and barbaric that each year there are several murders at the parade. What’s worse is all that Island pride has done nothing for those Island nations. What a group was formed to raise capital to fix those islands.

Poor guy, and all the high position and education have gone to the drain. they should really stop Jovert, it’s senseless to have a celebration if so many people have to die from it. It’s shameful the politicians insist on keeping it going for their political popularity.
