Explore the rich architectural and social history of Crown Heights North this weekend with a walking tour from the Municipal Art Society.

Developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the neighborhood contains such architectural highlights as Doctor’s Row, Brower Park, and Grant Square. It was also home to luminaries like Shirley Chisholm. Brownstoner columnist Suzanne Spellen and Morgan Munsey, both preservationists, will lead walkers on an exploration of the standout apartment houses, mansions, row houses, and houses of worship in the neighborhood.

The Municipal Art Society tour takes place on Saturday, June 1 at 2 p.m., rain or shine. Tickets are $35 ($25 for members). For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
