i heard some not good things about this place, so i had to check it out for myself. What pretty much sums my experience there is this..I should of listend to the people! Never would i go here again, the food isn’t great, and having walk up the block i saw the actual workers outside doing not so flattering things..Now these are the people that touch our food! repulsiveness. People Heed the warning find somewhere better to eat.
It looks like they’re having some sore of a soft opening. Just walked by there an hour ago. There were a few cold cuts and cheeses in the counter, but for the most part the place looked empty of product and people. It’s a tough location, since there’s really no foot traffic on that block, aside from after school hours. (The hot dog spot and the old diner down the street are always painfully empty.) Perhaps once the hideous hotel opens up, the cheating husbands and their mistresses will be getting hungry for soups (the sign says Hale & Hearty) and sandwiches. Once the place is stocked I’ll be eager to test it out.
im actually looking to move to 3rd ave in the next month or so because on average the apartments are a few hundred dollars cheaper than stuff on 5th ave. Its also loaded with interesting stuff, new and old.
3rd Ave is destined to be the new 5th Ave. Bar Tano, Bell House and the Center for the Urban Environment opened their green offices there (same building as MAC support) so yeah, this place’ll last and there’s actually foot traffic on 3rd.
