Closing Bell: Windy Weekend
We suspect that this downed tree on Prospect Avenue was not the only casualty of the unusually windy weekend we just had. Any others you noticed? Photo by Denton Taylor

There’s a tree down on Clinton Ave near the corner of Greene. Not sure if it was a wind casualty or not… but it was old and big so am assuming so.
19th and 4th- Huge old tree- an oak, I think, although it was dark when I saw. Looked like it luckily missed all cars and wooden houses. It would have decimated either.
We have two huge trees down in our backyard. One our our neighbor’s trees fell and took down another with it. They took our the fences and squashed the garden furniture. The backyard is tree from the basement up through the second floor. Quite impressive.
That was PROSPECT Park, duh…
Saw a pretty large downed branch on Waverly off of Fulton last night.
I just planted my vegetable garden on Friday.
Wind killed all my cucumbers.
Lost a big tree in Central Park, too…

A pretty large part of the building on N4th and Wythe fell down. Curbed had a pic of it. Shoddy new construction!
There was a good bit of damage in Brooklyn Heights. A tree came down on Clark Street and another one on Joralemon. Broken branches were everywhere.
