Closing Bell: War Talks at Brooklyn Brewery

Since May, the Brooklyn Brewery has been hosting a monthly speaker series featuring war correspondents. (No great surprise given that founder Steve Hindy was a reporter in the Middle East before he started making beer.) The fall lineup looks fascinating, with ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff on September 30 and TIME magazine photographer Robert Nickelsberg on October 9. Proceeds from the series’ ticket sales go to RISC, a nonprofit organization founded by Sebastian Junger which trains and equips freelance conflict journalists to treat life-threatening injuries on the battlefield. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at literary event site Togather.
