Closing Bell: New Exhibit at Columbia Street's Art Lot

There’s a new exhibition up at Columbia Street’s Art Lot, on the corner of Sackett. The display, which features work by artists Aimee Burg, Erin Burke, Jessica Cannon, and Phillip Stearns, is called “All Jokes Aside.” According to a sign outside the lot, the pieces look into ideas of “past, present, and future through the visual language of humor.” The sculpture in the foreground, the signs says, is a spin on a Victorian porch, with the “glittery, almost gaudy dress” meant to look like a “twisted porch swing.” GMAP
