Closing Bell: Help Clean Up Glass in Fort Greene Park

A new initiative called Brooklyn Park Glass is organizing cleanups of broken glass in Fort Greene Park next month so it can be recycled. One of its organizers says “the plan is to collect glass fragments all over the park and then send it to a facility in New Jersey for recycling” which then provides glass to companies like Brooklyn IceStone. The cleanups are scheduled for September 3rd, 10th, 18th and 25th. More info here.
