This Friday, January 23, marks the first event in the 2009 PS 29 Literary Salon, “An Evening of Fiction by Cecily von Ziegesar, Dominic Preziosi, and Julia Lichtblau.” Cecily von Ziegesar (a PS 29 parent) is the author of the bestselling young adult series, Gossip Girl. You might know the tv show based on that book series (along with a spin-off show in the works!). At the event, she will read from her debut adult novel, Cum Laude, to be published by Hyperion in September 2009. You can purchase tickets for this event here. All ticket proceeds go to the PS 29 PTA.

i watched it last night and im getting mad bored with the series. 90210 is on tonight but even that just sucks too. i guess im just more into charm school, big brother, and the rock of love bus.

I don’t think it was particularly pornographic until it got onto the small screen. Glossy ridiculous actors, direction and t.v. scripting turned it into the softcore we see today. Bleh.
There really are too many writers in this neighborhood.

Theres something kind of creepy with an author of teen softcore doing an author lecture at a grade school. I know there are 2 other authors but eeeeew.
