In addition to all the usual shopping and eating reasons to attend the Brooklyn Flea this weekend, add one more: Preeminent New York City historian and Columbia Professor Ken Jackson will be giving a free-form talk about the history of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank at 1 o’clock tomorrow. It should be truly fascinating. And it’s free. The Brooklyn Flea will be taking place every Saturday and Sunday through April 4 from 10 am to 5 pm at One Hanson Place. Starting April 10, the Flea will be outdoors at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School (176 Lafayette Avenue) on Saturdays and at One Hanson on Sundays.
