Closing Bell: Fort Greene Tennis Reno
As Clinton Hill Blog mentioned this morning, there’s a new group called the Fort Greene Tennis Association that was recently formed to try to get the tennis courts in Fort Greene Park refurbished. They’re holding a fundraiser tonight at General Greene at 229 Dekalb Avenue from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Details here. Photo by Steve…

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The courts are fine. There are some cracks, but that is tennis in NYC. I have no confidence that the parks department or anyone else will get a project like this done is a timely matter. Look at the monument in the part – it was fenced off for years!
Legion: It would be nice to join other Tech alumni in the open thread. I am amazed at the transformation that Ft Greene has undergone. I have been away for 30+ years so the contrast is stark in a very positive way.
I remember playing on these courts as a Technite,
good to see the community getting involved and
active in their upkeep.
sjtmd,
greetings, I invite you to join your fellow Tech
alumni (moreforless and myself) in the open thread one day.
My alma mater, Brooklyn Tech, looks great. I can tell you that the park never looked this good.
