Closing Bell: Deli Fever
The Brownstoner Flickr Pool just got a whole lot bigger. A photographer who goes by the handle of tfb17 just threw his slightly obsessive collection of Brooklyn delis into the mix. Do you recognize your local one?

hey gross stop hating on bodegas and stop the lies that they only offer expired milk. (some of them do sell bootleg ciggies for 5 bux, but so what? there’s a need for it) and i refuse to pay close to 10 bux for a pack of cigs. deal with it. there’s enough room in this city for bodegas and your oppressive and overpriced snooty organic food stores to co-exist.
*rob*
I am always amazed that these place stay in business. For some reason New Yorkers love to go into filthy, smelling of roach spray places to buy expired milk and illegal cigs. Some of them I get, there was a place on 5th ave between 1st and Garfield that is now a sushi place where you could buy weed.
Hopefully soon these pics will be only place to see cats sleeping on your wonder bread.
Happy Holidays!
A grocery store is not a deli.
I’m amazed how many still look the same now as they did in ’94. But Mr. B, not all the delis are in Brooklyn- Millie’s is on the corner of Jackson and 47th rd.
