As part of the GO project being put on this weekend by the Brooklyn Museum, more than 1,800 Brooklyn-based artists across Brooklyn will open their studios to the public. Visitors will help choose which of the participating artists will show at the Brooklyn Museum in December; register and check in at five studios to vote for your favorites. Many of the artists are in the museum’s back yard, as evidenced by this map and post from the Crow Hill Community Association. (The biggest circle on the map is the Monti Building at 925 Bergen Street where 16 artists will be showing their work; preview them here.) Those wanting to cover a little more ground can preview the 95 artists that fall within the borders of Crown Heights and Prospect Heights here. Fort Greene and Clinton Hill have a combined 121 artists showing their stuff while Bed Stuy has 64. The group show opens Dec. 1 at the Brooklyn Museum.
