You should be able to watch past episodes online by neighborhood, but I don’t see a Crown Heights link posted yet.

Brownstoner:
Although over the past year I’ve driven through Crown Heights, where I grew up during the 1950s, I haven’t had the chance to speak to people there, so to hear some of them in this little video was a welcomed experience.
Physically bits of the neighborhood look familiar but socially (wow!) is it ever a different place.
When I was a youngster there was little of an Hasidic presence in the area. And Hip Hop and t-shirt artists? Zip!
Indeed, the culture, religion and aethetic of some of the current locals seem as distant from my memories as if they were from another planet.
But Courtney Hutchinson, the little kid at the end, brought it all back to earth. There he was, being taught how to make prints by a local artist/entrepreneur who’s dedicated himself to the neighborhood — a form of apprenticeship going back to time immemorial.
Nice.

The episode is fantastic (but my opinion may be biased)and Brooklyn Independent Television is proud to add Crown Heights to its Neighborhood Beat roster.
Any idea if this will be airing on any of the Manhattan public access channels? I’d love to see it.
If anyone does catch this, please comment here, or on the open thread. Thanks.
But you can’t see it if you have Direct TV? Well, I’m out.
