The flier above says it all: On Wednesday, August 10th, there will be a reception for the Stuyvesant Heights Oral History Project. The project “brings together our past (seniors in the community), present (long-time/current residents), and future (youth / new comers), in a multimedia, multi-generational initiative designed to preserve the rich history of, the this historic African American neighborhood, Stuyvesant Heights community as told through our seniors.” The Akwaaba Mansion, where the celebration will be held, is located at 347 MacDonough Street.
