I think that the mad cyclists perform a public service running over the excess number of tourists on the bridge. In the nature conservation world, it it is called “culling the herd”.
It is good for the environment.
This should be fun for all the poor folks who are biking home over the bridge. Watch out, fashionistas!
I agree, Denton. But as a cyclist who regularly rides to and from work over the bridge, I’ll admit it’s usually tourists who unintentionally/unknowingly pass into the bike lane. Speaking of which, I couldn’t help but notice the relatively new “Yield to Pedestrians” signs on the bridge, one of which can be seen in the photo above.
There would be less chance for accidents if you got those people out of the bike lane!
I assume the bicycle lane will still be open. Hopefully there won’t be any accidents caused by rubbernecking cyclists speeding down the ramps.
