Closing Bell: Alight on Dean
We were walking down Dean Street between Nostrand and New York one night earlier this week when we were stopped in our tracks by the sight of this festively festooned rowhouse that made us think we were Dyker Heights rather than Crown Heights!

Bxgrl is right, except that this guy wins either first or second place every year. I look forward to his decorating, he definitely is one of the few people in the neighborhood to really go all out. My friend who lives on that block says that it takes the homeowner weeks to set the whole thing up.
I agree that it doesn’t come close to Dyker Heights, but it’s still pretty.
I think it looks good. Congrats to the homeowner for their Christmas spirit!
Although, in all honesty, it doesn’t compare to the house in the closing bell links. And the scroogelord will not even let me get one wire lighted reindeer with nodding head.
I live close by to that house- it looks quite beautiful all lit up. CHNA sponsors a Christmas lighting contest each year- I believe this one won last year. Hopefully more and more lights will go up in the nabe. Every year has seen an increase.
Looks pretty half-assed. If Jesus isn’t riding down the stairs on the back of a reindeer with a mistletoe necklace, they’re not even in the race.
beware, JB is everywhere…. what was he doing on that block?
was just gonna say…this is NOT dyker hts standards. not even close.
No ferris wheel full of snowmen. Not nearly up to Dyker Heights standards.
