Delve into Bushwick’s historic past and its preservation challenges with a virtual tour of the neighborhood from the Historic Districts Council.
Led by Brownstoner columnist Suzanne Spellen, the Bushwick Then and Now event will explore the built environment and social history of the historic area. Attendees will get a snapshot of the neighborhood’s vast architectural legacy, including residential, civic, and industrial buildings.
Bushwick was named one of the Historic Districts Council’s Six to Celebrate in 2023 and the virtual tour is part of a continued collaboration with the Bushwick Historic Preservation Association to raise awareness of the history of the neighborhood and its preservation challenges.
The hour-long online event takes place on Tuesday, September 30 from 6 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for HDC members and seniors. Registration information is available online.
