The festive program will include “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev, “Nutcracker Suite,” Duke Ellington’s spin on the Tchaikovsky classic and “Childhood Scenes” by Brooklyn-born composer Richard White. If you want a more personal musical experience there will be the chance to enter a raffle to win the opportunity to conduct the orchestra for a rendition of Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and have lunch with the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra’s artistic director, Nicholas Armstrong.
The concert takes place on Sunday, December 15 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Brooklyn Museum at 200 Eastern Parkway. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for museum members and seniors. For more information visit the event page online.
