In April, the guild is hosting Brooklyn Quilts!, its biennial show, with over 200 quilts on display. The styles on view will range from traditional to modern. For those who are inspired by the textile treasures to make their own but need some advice, there will be hands-on workshops throughout the event.
Vendors will have fabric and notions for sale and attendees can enter a number of raffles. There will also be a silent auction.
Visitors on Sunday will be able to listen to featured speaker Dr. Myrah Brown Green, art historian and quilter, who will give her talk, “Piecing Connections: Establishing Personal Meanings Through Quilts and World Symbols.” The presentation is at 2 p.m. and free with admission.

The show is open on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at BKloft26 at 163 26th Street in Greenwood Heights. Daily admission is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Admission is free for children 12 and under. For more information, including a full list of the workshops and vendors, and to purchase tickets, visit the event page online.
