Brooklyn Bounty

History needs your help! The Brooklyn Historical Society’s annual fundraiser Brooklyn Bounty returns for its fifth year on November 10, featuring a historical feast of food inspired by old-timey recipes (indeed, the food will hopefully not itself be historic but fresh).

The dinner will be akin to that of a 19th-century Dutch-American meal based Historic Society possession Mrs. Lefferts’ Book, a handwritten book of recipes created by Maria Lott Lefferts and her daughter.

Tickets range from $200 to $25,000. The lowest fee will get you a single ticket, with couples tickets discounted at $350 for two. Higher-priced entry levels, named after Brooklyn neighborhoods, award you varying formal privileges.

A $1,000 “Boswijck” (Bushwick) ticket will get you a printed program and exclusive cocktail entry. The most expensive neighborhood is “Conyne Eyland” (Coney Island) which, for $10,000, will grant 20 tickets and verbal acknowledgement during the event. According to the price rankings, Flatlands (“Nieuw Amersfoort”) is more expensive than Williamsburgh, but both are subpar to “Red Hoek.”

The event will take place from 7-10 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 at Dumbo’s 26 Bridge Street.

  1. I wonder if David Offensend of I buy myself a per house condo and then destroy the view for all the owners will be there. Of course he has been honored by the Brooklyn Historical society.
