It is decision day for the historic 2016 presidential campaign and it’s time to get out there and cast your ballot at the polls. Need to know where and how to do so? Here are all the deets:

What time do the polls open and close?

Polls in New York City open at 6 a.m. today and close at 9 p.m.

Where should I go vote?

You can check on your polling location at the New York City Board of Elections website.

How can I check if I’m registered to vote?

You can check your registration status at the State Board of Elections website — you had to register by October 14 to be eligible this year. You must be 18 years old by Election Day, not be judged incompetent by a court, not be in prison or on parole for a felony, and you must have lived at the address indicated on your voter registration by October 9.

Do I need to show ID at the polling place?

In New York State, if you’ve already voted once within the state’s border, you do not have to show ID at the polling place. If you do need to show identification, a New York driver’s license, state ID card, or a current bank statement, utility bill, government document, government check, or paycheck will suffice.

I’d like to know who else is on the ballot in my area besides the presidential candidates. How can I do this?

For those looking to do some research on the down ballot candidates, Google has a nifty little tool that allows you to type in your address and view a full list of candidates from all parties who have made the final ballot in your area.
