That DNA article about the $1 million Park Slope renovation being “the most expensive in Brooklyn this year” is a joke. Clearly the reporter knows nothing about renovations. Everyone files for their building permits with a nominal amount. This guy happens to be the only schmoe who filed something approaching the real cost. I can assure you there are plenty of renos in prime Brooklyn that will cost way more than $1 mil.
