Brookland Capital continues rolling eastward with new developments in Crown Heights. We recently spotted a Brookland Capital sign on this house at 1238 Lincoln Place between Troy and Schenectady avenues, where Boaz Gilad’s company has filed plans for a four-story, 10-unit apartment building.
Issac and Stern is the architect of record on the new building application, which was disapproved earlier this month. The building will have 6,801 square feet of residential space and a roof deck.
Demolition applications to knock down the house have been filed but not approved. Gilad bought the two-story brick house and the adjacent church at 991 Eastern Parkway for $2,100,000 last year, according to public records. Earlier this month, the DOB approved plans to convert the church to a six-story building with 12 apartments, which we first reported on in the fall. Brookland also recently purchased a vacant lot one block away at 1312 Lincoln Place, but no new building permits have been filed yet.
Building of the Day: 1238-1254 Lincoln Place [Brownstoner]
