The Observer reports that a number of the city’s most active builders are considering the development opportunity at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 1, where a hotel with between 170 and 225 rooms and a condo with between 150 and 180 units are slated to rise. The city had an info session about the site last week that drew well-known development companies (including Related, Two Trees, Douglaston, The Dermot Company) as well as big-name architecture firms (TEN Architectos, FXFowle, Rogers Marvel and Architetonica). The Observer notes that some of these firms have worked together before: Two Trees with TEN and Dermot with both FXFowle and Rogers Marvel. Responses to the RFP for the project are due in October.
