Today the Journal has a story about plans for future elements of Brooklyn Bridge Park that mostly focuses on the John Street parcel where a housing tower is slated to rise. The Park has yet to acquire the site from Con Edison but is in talks about buying the site between Adams and Jay streets. There’s still no fixed time line for developing the site, though, as park officials says they’re going to wait until the real estate market improves before issuing a request for proposals. The article does have details about when two other elements of the park will be finished, however: Pier 5, which is going to have outdoor sports fields, is supposed to be done next year, and Jane’s Carousel is supposed to open next month.
