New details have emerged about the possible future Brooklyn-Queens streetcar. One reader shares how it could revolutionize transportation for folks living in the Columbia Street Waterfront District, below.

Comment of the Day

It’s less about connecting Queens and Brooklyn and more about getting around the waterfront in general. I live in the Columbia Street Waterfront, just above Red Hook, and transportation is a problem. There is a lot of development, both business and residential, going on all over the Brooklyn waterfront, and it is only accelerating. This is a good plan for the future. Soon, many people will be living AND working along the waterfront, without ever having to go into Manhattan.
