It’d been almost four years since we took a gander at Hunts Lane in its entirety so when we found ourselves nearby with a few minutes to kill recently we decided to revisit the old stable-lined mews in Brooklyn Heights. The major change since our last visit was the gut renovation of 8 Hunts Lane that included a rooftop addition. (We’ve got an action shot here.) The finished product, with a spiffy coat of white paint, can be seen in the third photo. For a look at some other alleys of Brooklyn Heights, check out Forgotten NY. Happy viewing.
Always loved Hunts Lane. Walked through many tiems when I lived over in the Heights. My favorite is the carriage house with the blue doors and shutters. CGar- can I speak to you? 🙂
It’s a MEWS, not MUSE.
I love Hunts Lane (though I am partial to Grace Court Alley). My favorite houses are the 2 “siblings” in the second picture, with the arched windows on the second floor.
