From the Forum: Should Homeowners Pursue Resolving a Property Line Discrepancy?

A neighbor shared the results of their recent property survey and homeowners discovered that there might be a three foot discrepancy in what they thought were the property boundaries. The homeowners are now wondering if they should do anything about claiming the extra three feet of property that might be theirs. Should they get their own survey done to verify the findings before making any decisions?
