Electrical work required the temporary removal of a parlor ceiling medallion and now that it is time to put it back the homeowners are stumped. The medallion was safely removed but their contractor has now told them that it can’t be put back up — an opinion unlikely to be shared by experienced brownstone renovators.
Should they call in a plaster expert to check the stability of the medallion and get it properly installed? Any other suggestions to make sure they can keep the historic feature as they wish?
Please chime in with your advice.
