The original 19th century double doors were replaced long ago and homeowners are trying to decide whether they should get custom doors fabricated or if something off-the-shelf will work.

The original 19th century double doors were replaced long ago and homeowners are trying to decide whether they should get custom doors fabricated or if something off-the-shelf will work. The new doors will be installed on the original door surround, which might limit the options. What has worked for other homeowners?
