This question was posted yesterday afternoon on The Forum and the thread has turned out to be the most robust discussion that’s happened on The Forum since the relaunch last month. In addition to the fact that there have been over twenty responses, it’s worth checking out to see how the new Forum technology comes into play. First off, the comment threading allowed the original poster to interact directly with specific commenters and to keep those discussions in one place. Secondly, the ability to vote on the usefulness of each given comment also comes in handy when a thread gets this long. You can (and we wish you would!) vote up the most useful responses. Readers can then elect to view the thread in order of the most useful comments.

There’s also lots of other interesting posts on The Forum today. One reader’s having problems with a Bosch dishwasher; someone else needs recommendations for a hardwood floor installer; and a fan of Bob Dylan is trying to sort through a flubbed plumbing inspection. Please contribute your two cents.
