A renovator is thinking about opening up the rear of their brownstone with steel windows but is concerned about a drafty wall of glass.

A renovator is thinking about opening up the rear of their brownstone with steel windows but is concerned about a drafty wall of glass. Have other homeowners found that installing steel windows with a thermal break made a difference? If the budget won’t allow that option what else should they consider?
