So the question is, in a single family home, is it possible and/or advisable to do upgraded electrical on one floor at a time vs. the entire home all at once? We will be getting an entire new service now as well as, but the hope is to then upgrade the actual wiring 1 floor at a time. Any advice from people who have tried this?
How crucial is it to do all your electrical work in one go? Can it be split up by floors? Share your thoughts in the original post.

If its a townhouse you can but you have to start from the basement (assuming thats where the service enters the building and the risers can be run where necessary) and work your way up. Floor by floor will generally be quite a bit more expensive because you have to have electricians come back multiple times.
