Damp spots in the basement are worrying brownstone owners and they are trying to find the mystery water source. The dampness seems to be rising up from the wall at the front of the basement, something that hasn’t happened in all their years of living in the house. The homeowners suspect it might be from a broken pipe but aren’t sure that is the source and are wondering who they should get to investigate the issue.

Please chime in with your advice.
