Register Now and Let Experts Ease the Anxiety of Buying Your First Home in Brooklyn
What neighborhoods offer value? What are the pros and cons of renting vs. buying? These questions will be answered at the Brooklyn Historical Society in March.

On March 12 at the Brooklyn Historical Society, first-time home buyers will get an education.
That’s when “What First-Time Home Buyers Need to Know: Brooklyn” will feature a panel of experts who will offer a gaggle of useful advice: what neighborhoods offer value, the pros and cons of renting vs. buying, options for financing, and more.
Attendees to the event, part of the Brownstoner Home Events series, will also gain valuable insight into mortgages, such as interest rates, financing a renovation, and what documents to provide a loan officer.
And they’ll get heaps of expert insight into the real estate process and the state of the market from sponsors such as Avenue Sotheby’s International Realty. “Generally, it is very much still a buyer’s market because there is a good deal of inventory on the market for lengthy periods of time, but for the properties that are priced correctly, are in great shape, and in popular Brooklyn neighborhoods — it will always be a seller’s market,” said broker Aroza Sanjana.
Join us at the Brooklyn Historical Society on March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. for beer, wine and light bites provided by Oaxaca Taqueria. Event sponsors include Emigrant Mortgage, Avenue Sotheby’s International Realty, Urban Pioneering Architecture, and Castrads.
