quotation-icon.jpgToo much is spent on trying to convince the public how great the DOE is doing, and not enough on trying to engage a working dialogue between parents and teachers. Sadly one factor making it difficult is the busing issue. It’s that much harder for parents to be actively involved in a school that is well out of the neighborhood. Harder for kids to be involved in good after school programs for the same reason. too much time traveling, too little time to study. Too little time to spend in educational programs. and it’s more expensive…

  1. 11:11- you really oughta just stop posting- I suppose you think you know bklyn? You can barely speak English or write a real sentence and you’re going after bxgrl? ha ha ha ha ha. man- that was your best shot after bxgrl slapped you down? ha ha ha ha ha ha

  2. Oh yeah really bx , that’s what I did? You got me.

In all actuality you’re corny. Guru troll from the BX acting like you know BK.
    You’re in the wrong blog.
Yes you’re getting it “wash”. Go “wash” yo fonky ass! Spell check dat!!

  3. So back to the issue:

The whole idea of having families put down their top 12 (who has a top 12?) is what has created a mass of people who attend (or don’t attend) school far from home. It used to be that only people willing and able to travel 90 minutes to school would choose to apply to or put down schools far away. Now, it truly is a lottery.

After school activities have become even more dismal than they ever were. I can’t count the number of times a parent has told me their child must come straight home because it’s past dark when they arrive back from school. (Difficult to imagine now – close to the summer solstice.) I can’t offer my students a ride home because of liability, and they can’t afford a car service. So arriving home from play rehearsal, test review, or sports becomes a dilemma.

  4. I’m not causing you to do anythingyou’re the only one responsible for your incoherent, witless and brainless rant. And if this the first time you posted, then you obviously copied and pasted “super corney” from someone else and you still didn’t fix the spelling. But then you were just so intent on making snarky remarks, because you actually think you are so much smarter than anyone else.

On top of that you can’t even write a rebuttal without posting obscenities- and all that proves is you are, and I repeat, incoherent, witless and brainless.

Interesting comment about shit- an odor is something you can wash off, but when you’re full of it, like you are, I’m afraid you’re stuck for life.

  5. Bxgrl, it’s the first time I made that comment. But you Dirtbag, is like a walking typo. The shit you write amazes many.

Take another long break and spare the world. You f^@*ing stink of cat shit.

I can’t believe you’re causing me to add “hits” to this thread.

  6. Actually you can use “had had” grammatically in a sentence, and it is not a typo. I repeat my earlier comment re your education. And for the record you made the “super corney” comment before and with the same misspelling.

You can dish it out but not take it? You’re on the wrong blog.

  7. “See- if you had had a good education you would be able to spell.”

Look who’s talking “had had” what are you stuck on stupid you effing dirt bag.
It was typo on a comment. Get over yourself.
