Like this, in the photo, at least. Sort of has a deco texture along with a sophisticated European vibe. Love the bling in the middle of relative drabness and the way the warm, dimensional brass plays against the hideous silver/gray-glass-and-aluminum-skin look that’s ubiquitous now.

  1. Too bad about Applewood closing, I’ll miss it for sure. So many good restaurants right at 11th Street/7th Ave, it has really become a destination street.
