Park Slope Brooklyn House for Sale -- 366 6th Avenue

This Neo-Grec townhouse at 366 6th Avenue in Park Slope offers something you don’t see every day: a sleek white laboratory-like kitchen plus some charming original details in the rest of the house.

If you enjoy the contrast of the new and the old, this one is worth a look.

True, the bay-windowed brick house is narrow at 16 feet, but with four stories and a one-family setup it offers no shortage of space. The parlor floor has also been opened up, to take advantage of the full width of the property.

Said parlor floor has some nice details, including parquet floors, crown moldings, pocket shutters and a pair of nonworking marble fireplaces.

The garden level has also been opened up, with kitchen, dining room, and family room all in once big, flowing space. The large kitchen has newish stainless steel appliances, a large fridge and white lacquered cabinets in ample number.

The house offers four bedrooms, two apiece on the top two floors. The master suite offers a walk-through closet, en-suite bath with a Jacuzzi tub and views of the Lower Manhattan skyline.

Judging from the facade, the top-floor bedrooms might be low on both light and ceiling space; neither is pictured.

The cellar is finished, with a laundry room; the electric is updated, according to the listing, from Sacha Mobarak and Johnathan Agrelius of Town Residential.

There’s a small garden area that looks to be low on greenery, with steps leading down from the parlor level (but no deck).

Technically a two-family, it last changed hands for $1,800,000 in 2006, according to public records.

Now the new ask is $3.1 million. The condition looks good, with no obvious work awaiting the buyer. What’s your take on the place?

  1. I usually don’t like it when all the interior walls are torn out, but in these narrow houses it really does open up the parlor floor. For a one family house you really don’t miss the entrance hall. The kitchen is a little clinical for my taste but it is very well done. Quite a pretty house.
